Marlen Meiners is a mending expert based in Bremen, Germany.
She runs workshops on visible and invisible mending techniques in English and German.
Her goal is to bring this almost forgotten craft back into the public eye and to show people how easy it is to extend the life of clothes and to inspire them to a more sustainable consumption of clothing.
For her mends she uses techniques from all kinds of handicrafts, such as knitting, weaving, embroidery, sewing, needlelace and crochet.
Always with the aim of repairing the garment in a way that the owner is happy to wear it again.
